Introduction

Wang Hanpeng, born in Jinan, Shandong, is an excellent young and middle-aged scholar of Shandong University (the first level), a professor, a doctoral supervisor, and the director of the Institute of Geotechnical Testing Technology and System Equipment of Shandong University. He is mainly engaged in the teaching and scientific research of underground engineering disaster mechanisms and prevention and control. In the past five years, Wang Hanpeng has presided over several projects, including more than 30 horizontal projects of enterprises and institutions, and more than 10 vertical projects such as major national scientific research instrument development projects recommended by departments. The total funds of all projects exceed 100 million yuan, including 25.46 million yuan for vertical direct funds and 80.4 million yuan for horizontal funds, the highest in Shandong University's scientific and technological research and development projects (the single contract amount is 56 million yuan).

Wang Hanpeng has made several original achievements in "key technology and test equipment for physical simulation, multi-phase rock mass damage mechanics model and similar simulation, underground engineering disaster mechanism and disaster prevention and control". He successfully simulated the whole process of coal and gas outbursts for the first time in the world (press release in 2019). This core invention has achieved technological transformation and industrial application (more than 30 sets of major equipment) and has been successfully applied to underground projects in energy, mining, transportation, national defense, water conservancy, and other fields, which has improved a lot of social and economic benefits. Therefore, it has won the 2020 National second prize of the Technology Invention Award (ranked 2nd), 4 provincial and ministerial first prizes, and 4-second prizes. In addition, in terms of works, Wang Hanpeng published 4 monographs (1 won the National Science and Technology Academic Works Publishing Fund), edited 3 textbooks (2 won the Shandong University High-quality Textbooks and Postgraduate Core Curriculum Textbooks Publishing Fund), and published more than 80 SCI/EI papers by the first correspondent. His papers are very influential in the academic world and have been cited more than 3,000 times, including 2 papers selected into F5000 and 1 selected into "ESI Highly Cited Papers". Wang Hanpeng has also authorized more than 60 Chinese invention patents (30 No. 1, 16 No. 2), more than 10 computer software copyrights (7 No. 1), and participated in the compilation of 2 standards.

During his scientific research career, Wang Hanpeng has successively served as an evaluation expert for the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Fund Committee, an evaluation expert of undergraduate education and teaching in national colleges and universities, a guest editor of international journals TUST and Energies special issues, and academic journals such as IJMST, Coal Journal, DUSE, and Central South University Journal (Natural Science Edition) Youth editorial board member, reviewer for 20 domestic and foreign journals. Moreover, he was invited to host more than ten academic reports at well-known domestic and foreign conferences.

In terms of teaching, the "Finite Element Principle and Programming" lecture by Wang Hanpeng was rated as an excellent postgraduate course in Shandong Province. Moreover, He also presided over 1 postgraduate teaching reform project in Shandong Province, 7 teaching reform projects, ideological and political courses, and laboratory construction, manage key projects of Shandong University, and won one Shandong Province and one school-level education teaching achievement award. Wang Hanpeng is very good at guiding students. The graduate students he directed won many achievements, including one Shandong Excellent Achievement Award, six Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Awards, and two national scholarships. Therefore, he was awarded the honorary titles of Shandong University Excellent Instructor for Graduate Students, Excellent Instructor for Undergraduate Graduation Design, and Excellent Instructor for College Students' Science and Technology Innovation.

Educating ideas

Adhere to the academic philosophy of rigorous and down-to-earth, morality and cultivation of people, face the major needs of the country and major scientific and technological problems in underground engineering, put forward the training mode of "scientific research feeds back teaching, practice leads innovation", practice the educational idea of "learning both reason and instrument", and cultivate comprehensive talents who attach equal importance to theory with practice and R&D and application. Based on more than ten years of experience in educating people, he compiled the book "Self-cultivation of Graduate Students".

Adhere to the concept of family culture, practice the weekly meeting system, care about students' ideological politics and moral psychology, help students establish a correct world view, outlook on life and values, and teach and solve confusion.
