Xu Chunfu said that the establishment of School of Qilu Transportation and Qilu Transportation Science and Technology Research Institute of Shandong University was a major event for the Group to implement its science and technology strategy and talent strategy. It was also a grand event for the integrated development of "industry, research, and product" in schools and enterprises in Shandong Province. The establishment of colleges and research institutes will further improve the Group's innovation system, and bring strong scientific and technological support for the improvement of the Group's scientific research level and the development of high-tech industries, promote major projects for the conversion of new and old kinetic energy to enhance the scientific and technological content and talents of enterprises. Academician Nie Jianguo said that the establishment of School of Qilu Transportation coincided with the development of transportation disciplines and the strategic goal of building a new era of transportation. Shandong University and Qilu Transportation Development Group met the national strategic need as a starting point and focus on the implementation of national strategies. Facing the key scientific and technological issues in China can not only serve the national strategic needs, but also promote the "double first-class" construction of Shandong University with the basic idea of "educating people in an upright position", promote Qilu Transportation Development Group's innovation to drive high-quality development and serve the major project of the conversion of old and new kinetic energy in Shandong, which is a very forward- looking and constructive step taken by Shandong University and Qilu Transportation Development Group.
