Resume

Peng Lin, doctor(post-doctor), associate researcher of Shandong University, was selected to the 7th “China Association for Science and Technology Young Talents Project”. He is also the secretary-general of ACUUS YG (Asia Region) of the Youth Working Committee of the International Joint Research Center for Underground Space (Asia), the member of the China Executive Committee of the World Alliance of Young Geoscientists (YES Alliance) and the member of Youth Working Committee of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering etc.

Dr. Lin mainly engaged in research on prevention and control of water and mud inrush disasters in tunnels and underground projects. In scientific research and engineering practice, he has presided over 5 scientific research projects such as the subtopics of the National Key R&D Program, the National Youth Fund, and 5 entrusted projects for enterprises and institutions. In addition, he has also participated in more than 20 vertical and horizontal projects such as the National 973 Plan Project, the Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Lichuan-Wanzhou Expressway Program, the Qianjiang-Changde Railway Program, the Gaoligong Mountain Tunnel Project of the Dali-Ruili Railway, the Yellow River Diversion Project in Central Shanxi, and the Xinjiang XX Water Supply Engineering Project, accumulating rich theoretical and practical experience.

He has won China Communications and Transport Association Science and Technology Progress First Prize (Rank No.1), Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering Science and Technology Second Prize (Rank No.1), Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Second Prize (Rank No.2), Land and Resources Science and Technology Second Prize (Rank No.4), Henan Science and Technology Progress Second Prize (Rank No.8). He has participated in the compilation of 3 standards and published more than 40 SCI/EI papers, of which 23 papers were published as the first or corresponding author, 3 papers were listed as “ESI highly cited papers (top 1%)”, 1 paper was awarded the Crampton Prize by the British Society of Civil Engineering in 2022, and 1 paper was selected in “Pacesetter 5000 - Top Academic Papers in Chinese quality scientific Journals”. He has granted 18 Chinese invention patents (12 ranked the first, 6 ranked the second) and 4 international invention patents, and he won the Shandong Patent First Prize.
